Terms of Reference
1.1 Posts/captures cash book transactions system (ACCPAC).
1.2 Cash receipting and banking.
1.3 Prepares bank reconciliations
1.4 Maintains and reconciles the petty cash float in line with the prevailing limits from time to time.
1.5 Provides bank balances report to management on daily basis.
1.6 Raises requisitions for all bank payments e.g. cheque, cash, RTGS requisitions.
1.7 Develops and maintains Filing system for the section.
1.8 Interest Accruals and Maintenance Of Bank Facilities
1.9 Controlling credit and ensuring internal debtors (arising from project/travel advances) retire their advances, / pay on time.
1.10 Reconciliation of directs debits and finance accounts. Ensuring all payments amounts & records are accurate.
1.11 Preparation of statutory accounts. i.e. donor reports and any other accounts assigned
1.12 Working with journals, sales & purchase ledgers and spreadsheets.
1.13 Provide management with current interest rates to enable investment and borrowing decisions.
2. Management of Accounts Documents
2.1 Account maintenance of the relevant balance sheet sections allocated to you on a rotation basis.
2.2 Areas of focus expected during your employment include, but not limited to: Receivables, Payables, Property, plant and Equipment, Loans and Borrowings, Grant reports
3.1 Adheres to quality standards in the performance of your work and application of work procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Accounting Course
- Studying towards a professional accountancy qualification
- 2 years experience will be added advantage
